Culmen Metals is an independent broker for recycled rare earths, focused on neodymium-iron-boron magnet scrap. We bring two market sides together without ever owning the material. Processors and recyclers act as the central interface on both sides.
Feedstock side
Suppliers of end-of-life magnets from electric motors, hard drives and IT hardware (ITAD), wind turbines and automotive production.
Product side
Buyers of processed recycled material: magnet manufacturers and industrial customers that depend on independent raw material sources.
Why now
Security of supply has become a strategic question.
Germany is almost entirely dependent on a small number of producing countries for rare earths. China supplies roughly 69 % of global mine production and more than 90 % of global refining capacity; for permanent magnets the share is higher still. At the same time the world consumes more raw materials than can be newly mined. Recycling is therefore not a niche but a necessity.
